Founded in 1971 Greenpeace’s goal is to ensure the ability of the Earth to nurture life in all its diversity. Greenpeace defends the natural world and promotes peace by investigating, exposing and confronting environmental abuse and championing solutions. The organisation is passionate about supporting the Earth- the only planet we have. Greenpeace focus on worldwide issues such as climate change, deforestation, overfishing and commercial whaling. Greenpeace are independent and do not accept funding from governments, corporations or political parties, instead relying on 2.9 million supporters to add their voices to the campaigns.
Helping us to conserve wild plants and fungi involves many different activities. You can volunteer with Plantlife by getting stuck into practical conservation work or by data entry and research, or even campaigning and advocacy work.Including the National Plant Monitoring Scheme, and other schemes like the Species on the Edge monitoring and surveying activities in areas like the north coast of Scotland
